Embed the burn ban map
Drop a live, self-updating burn ban map on your site — national or a single state. It refreshes every day from the same data this site runs on, at no cost. All we ask in return is the credit link in the snippet below, kept as plain HTML.
What you're pasting
Two elements: an <iframe> that renders the map itself, and a small credit line right
below it. The map runs entirely inside its frame — it adds no script, no cookie, and no tracking to the
rest of your page. Resize it by changing the width and height attributes; the
map itself is responsive within whatever box you give it.
The credit line matters for a specific technical reason: a link placed inside an <iframe>
is served from our domain, so search engines count it as a link from us to us — it carries no value back
to your site. Keeping the credit line in your own page's HTML, next to the frame, is what makes it a real,
counted link from your site. That's the actual exchange: a free, live map for a visible, genuine backlink.
Updates
Nothing to maintain on your end. The map re-fetches source data daily and the iframe always shows the current build — reload your page and the map is current, no re-embedding needed. If a source disagrees with itself or goes offline, the affected counties show as unconfirmed rather than a stale "no ban".
